For families of children with Serious Emotional Disturbance  (SED) – This service is offered to provide needed breaks for caregivers of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties.  We provide scheduled groups on no-school Fridays and during school breaks with fun activities, snacks and skilled professionals with experience and special training in behavior management of children with SED.  The real-time opportunities for these children to develop pro-social, problem-solving, communication and self-regulation skills with their peers while under the direct supervision and guidance of trained staff are a bonus to the break for families. Caregivers can attend to self-care, appointments, other family members or obligations that are neglected due to the intensive needs of the SED child, or they can just take a break while their child is being cared for in a safe environment.
